Lingobelle is a kind space for women to meet, talk and learn together. These are the things we believe in, and the simple promises that keep it warm and safe for everyone. By being here, you agree to them.
What Lingobelle is about
Friendship firstLingobelle is a friendship first forum: real connections with real people. No AI chat bots, no conversations with strangers, just real women invested in and supporting one another.
Reciprocal learningA little of her language, a little of yours. You give as much as you receive, and you both grow through each other's support and guidance.
Cultural connectionsShare idioms, slang and the way words really sound. Cross-border friendships take you beyond the textbook, towards real-world fluency.
Active and productiveIt is easy to take a language in; it is harder to produce it. Use your scrapbook and your memory boxes to write, and then to speak directly with your belles.

The promises we all keep

Be kind, and keep it a safe place. Treat every belle as you would a good friend. No harassment, bullying, cruelty or hate, and nothing nude, sexual, violent or distressing. Lingobelle is a place for friendship, not a dating app.

Be real, and keep confidences. Use your own photos and a profile that is genuinely you, with no fake accounts. And what is shared in a chat or a memory box belongs to the two of you, so please do not share another belle's words, photos or details elsewhere without her okay.

No selling, and no poaching. No adverts, spam, links, schemes or money requests. Friendships often grow beyond the app, which is lovely. Please just do not use Lingobelle to deliberately gather its members onto another app or service.

Look after one another. If something ever feels off, use Report or Block, and your report reaches our team privately. And if a friendship leads to meeting in person, take the same care you would with anyone new: choose a public place, let someone know where you are going, and go at a pace that feels right for you.
If these promises are ever not kept, we may gently step in, from a kind word to removing a post or, if needed, closing an account, always simply to keep Lingobelle safe and warm. Thank you for helping keep it the gentle, generous place it is meant to be. 🌷
